Followed Decks Stay Fresh
Before this update, opening a followed deck after leaving the screen could reload the whole deck, even when nothing changed. ouou now checks a lightweight revision marker first. If your cached deck is current, it skips the network request.
The result: navigation feels faster, and large followed decks no longer stop for a full systems check every time you come back.
One List for Every Deck
Your own decks and followed decks now appear together on the home screen, sorted by most recently updated. There is no separate section to switch between. Everything you are working with lives in one place.
Followed decks show the same card count, metadata, and actions available for your own decks. The distinction between “mine” and “following” still appears when it matters: edit, publish, and unfollow. It no longer decides where decks live on the home screen.
Blog and Guides
ouou has a blog now. Very official. The first guides cover using the yt-ingest skill to turn YouTube videos into flashcards with Claude Code and the ouou MCP server, and connecting ouou to Claude so Claude can work with your decks directly.
New articles will appear as features and integrations develop.
Tags on Every Deck
The list_decks tool in the ouou MCP server now returns a tags field on
every deck — an alphabetically sorted list of the distinct tags used on cards
in that deck. An AI agent can see what tag vocabulary already exists before
creating or labelling new cards, without reading every card first.
Virtual tags (internal markers used by the practice engine) are excluded. An empty array means no cards in the deck have been tagged yet.
